New Collaboration – Indigenous Pact Community Care
Increases Scope and Depth of Health Care for AI/AN Communities

Indigenous Pact and Guardiant Health Merge to Form Indigenous Pact Community Care
Indigenous Pact, a leader in creating health equity for American Indians and Alaska Natives (AI/ANs), has joined forces with Guardiant Health, a virtual-first healthcare provider that reaches, engages, and cares for people at home or on the go. Together, they’ve launched Indigenous Pact Community Care — a model designed to transform healthcare for millions of AI/ANs.
This collaboration connects Tribal communities to a strengthened care network with coordinated, on-demand provider resources. The result is expanded access to healthcare for community members.
“As Tribes take control of their healthcare through the 638 process, they need systems built for their unique needs,” says Kurt Brenkus, founder and CEO of Indigenous Pact PBC, Inc. “We help by equipping Tribal communities with meaningful tools, connections, technology, and specialty care that increases health and well-being for their people.”
A Model Centered on Indigenous-Led Care
The Indigenous Pact Community Care approach addresses healthcare shortages and limited access to specialty care by working directly within Tribal communities. In partnership with Tribes, Indigenous Pact manages Tribally owned clinics and provides personal care teams and health advocates. These advocates coordinate care plans, implement programs, and deliver personalized, direct care.
This model combines traditional values with modern technology.
“Instead of having to bring the patient to the provider, we can bring the service to them,” explains Dr. Kurt Tamaru, founder and CEO of Guardiant Health.
Building Health from Home
The new care model connects AI/AN health systems with both local and national systems, ensuring continuity of care and improved health outcomes. By starting at home, building trusted relationships, and guiding people to the care they need — when and where they need it — Indigenous Pact Community Care aims to create measurable, lasting improvements in community well-being.
